Challenges -
The works had a number of interested stakeholders including Network Rail, The Highways Agency, Local residents and the client. The work had to be undertaken in liaison with Network Rail to ensure the disruption to the line was kept to a minimum.
Solution -
A working party was initially established with Network Rail. As the planning progressed and the work was undertaken the working party included the other stakeholders.
Results -
No complaints from local residents. No unplanned line outage. No RIDDOR reportable accidents.
