Working at Heights

This course give's examples of common tasks and understanding the associated hazards and risks. Identify the factors that contribute to persons and objects falling from height and describing the control measures that control and reduce the risk of falls from height.

Abrasive Wheels

This course is a general awareness course for workers in the construction industry who use portable tools that have an abrasive or cutting wheel, commonly known as angle grinders, cut-off saws, disc cutters, skill saws, Stihl saws, con saws or 'whizzers'.The course covers what an abrasive wheel is, key legislation and guidance, the common hazards, selection and handling of wheels, safe use of wheels, the use of personal protective equipment and respiratory protective equipment and controlling the risk posed by dust.
