An opportunity to join the team of well-established, Midland based, Health and Safety Consultancy who operate throughout the UK and the world.

Taking your lead from the Business Development Manager your role will see you primarily developing new business opportunities through telephone sales,  initiating conversations, building relationships, generating and securing new sales appointments in the East Midlands area.

The sales person will be expected to work both independently and as a team member to perform a variety of support services, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the department.

The successful applicant should be friendly, approachable, have excellent customer skills, a good sense of humour, organised and proactive with a minimum of 2 years experience in B2B telephone sales.

Working 25hrs per week, Monday – Friday.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager and Director.

Sales lead generation

  • Identify and cold call potential prospects to arrange visits
  • Follow up on leads provided via website and other marketing activities
  • Ensure sales database is kept up-to-date and accurate
  • Build/maintain effective customer relationships
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure a full appreciation for their business needs and buying intentions
  • Establish effective communications with all customers and identified prospects
  • Develop a trusted partner relationship
  • Identify new market and business opportunities
  • Read industry publications/websites
  • Ensure delivery of outstanding customer service

Key tasks

  • Increase sales through contacting leads via the phone.
  • Raise brand awareness
  • Develop and maintain partnerships
  • Maximise opportunities for product marketing
  • Social media and website content updates
  • Product marketing

Our ideal Person:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Previous experience within a similar sales role
  • Strong sales skills and able to take on a variety of tasks
  • Strong level of IT skills
  • Ability to identify and develop own leads and opportunities
  • Self-starter, who is naturally enthusiastic and results-driven
  • Strong awareness of customer needs and customer service
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work off your own initiative
  • UK driving license

£8.50ph - Flexible 25 hours per week
